Our client, a leader in their sector, is currently looking for a Pump and Monitoring Equipment Service Technician to join their highly valued team on a full-time basis. Role and Responsibilities:
1. Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered on-site
2. Carry out effective communications with the client and administration team
3. Ensure the company meets its obligations and adheres to guidelines and regulations laid down by the professional bodies they subscribe to
4. Work closely with other engineers and provide support and training to more junior members of the team
5. Responsible for keeping the pump service and electrical preparation workshop areas clean, tidy, and well-organised
6. Respond to requests from co-workers to procure and prepare equipment
7. Ensure all aspects of work and process are carried out in line with Health and Safety guidelines
8. Liaise with Managers to improve yard operations and facilities
9. Ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and that all plant, equipment, and materials that leave the yard are clean, well-presented, in good working order and to specification at all times
10. Unload and dispatch equipment to and from the site
11. Clean, maintain, and store equipment and materials
Skills and Experience:
1. A Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent
2. A drive and enthusiasm to seize opportunities
3. At least 2 years of experience working within the sector
4. Relevant qualifications are desirable such as a strong mechanical and electrical engineering background. BS7671:2008 & 17th edition wiring regulations qualification would be highly advantageous
5. Awareness of electrical and mechanical safety and hazards
6. Previous experience in pump servicing required
7. Basic electronics, instrumentation, and telemetry knowledge would be highly advantageous
8. Demonstrate problem-solving skills and a practical mindset
