We are delighted to be working on behalf of one of the longest-established law firms in East Anglia, who are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary within their friendly Wills & Probate team.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven Legal Secretarial experience gained from a professional law firm, with a good understanding of Wills & Probate
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent computer skills, particularly using Microsoft Office, document management and legal document production software
* Organised with a flexible approach to work
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities
* Audio typing skills (desirable)
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Providing effective and efficient secretarial support to the Wills & Probate team
* Keeping Records up to date and general filing (both paper & electronic documents).
* Archiving Files.
* Typing up Legal Documents, including transcribing audio dictation, correspondence, emails, and all other like documents.
* Answering the phone and making a documented record.
* Organising diaries and making appointments for fee earner(s).
* Receiving “On Account” payments from Clients and referring these to accounts department.
* Informing accounts department of any Client changes.
* Generally finalising matters and obtain edger printouts before closing file.
* Covering reception as and when required.
