Here at Amazon we are currently looking for an experiencedHealth & Safety Manager to join the team and play a criticalrole in managing the health and safety within the AmazonFulfillment Centre (FC).
The successfulcandidate will identify, coordinate and drive improvements ininbound safety, quality and productivity, working with theOperations Management teams to continuously improve thefunctionality and level of service that the Fulfillment Centreprovides to our customers.
Key jobresponsibilities
You will be managing aspects of outputin your area: people management, metrics, productivity targets, andprocess improvements. The extent of your duties willinclude:
• Managing the health and safety function at theFC, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery ofobjectives.
• Proactively engaging in collaborativehealth and safety projects across all operations sites
•Providing authoritative advice and guidance on health & safetymatters to all stakeholders within designated area ofresponsibility.
• Reviewing and auditing arrangements forhealth & safety management and continuously improving thesearrangements where appropriate.
• Providing strategies toplan and organise work systems to reduce health & safety risks,recommending, and implementing mitigations andprocesses.
• Ensure robust reporting regimes are in placefor Health and Safety metrics.
• Providing managementinformation and statistics related to your area ofresponsibility.
• Supporting business change througheffective change management processes within the fast paced FCenvironment.
• Driving behavioural culture changeprogramme across a large, complex, multi shiftoperation.
• Implementation and review of company globalsafety policies ensuring that local HSE requirements aremet.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Educationto a degree level and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSHDiploma level
• Relevant experience managing ateam
• Relevant experience complying with local Healthand Safety legislation
• Advanced proficiency in verbaland written English
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
• Lean, 5S and Kaizenexperience
• Environmental qualification/experience anadvantage
