A new opportunity has arisen for a Director of Engineering to join a multi national company innovating high performance Analog semiconductors to help power the Wireless networking revolution!
The Technical Director of Engineering will join the Andover design centre and will oversee architecture development, design, integration and delivery of complex multichip RFIC-based module solutions for wireless connectivity applications at 2-9GHz. You will be involved with all aspects of product realisation including interfacing with key customers and working with an extended cross-site team to deliver high-performance RF products to high volume markets.
You will have a strong background in RF IC Design with an excellent understanding of the wireless market. You will be a leader in product development ensuring consistent use of the latest design methodologies to ensure high quality and on-time product launches.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing RF product and IP development for TX/ RX wireless modules
2. Working with Marketing and customers to define product specifications and requirements
3. Helping conduct architecture studies and feasibility simulations
4. Ensuring use of latest simulation methodologies
5. Hiring, mentoring, and training new team members
6. Providing status updates to senior management
7. Travelling to customer sites and other company sites as required Industry degree qualified the successful Director of Engineering will have a minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience relating to Analog/ RF IC Design and leadership / team management experience.
Experience is required in some or all of the following:
8. Working knowledge of RF IC components including Switch/ LNA/ PAs
9. Semiconductor process technologies such as CMOS, GaAs/ Silicon HBT, SOI, BiCMOS
10. Interfacing with customers
11. Leading cross-functional product teams
12. Wireless communications standards knowledge such as Wi-Fi or LTE
13. RF simulation tools including ADS, Cadence, and EM tools
14.
