Career Teachers are seeking a qualified Teacher (QTS / QTLS) with experience of teaching Music at KS3 and 4, for a secondary school based in North Solihull. This is a full-time role to start September on a full-time, temporary basis to cover maternity leave.
You will be working in a vibrant and inclusive secondary school who are dedicated to academic excellence and the creative talents of their students. Their music department is a vibrant environment where students are encouraged to explore and develop their musical abilities. Our school are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join their staff team and inspire a love for music in their students.
As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive music lessons to students of varying abilities. You will create a stimulating classroom environment that nurtures students musical talents and fosters their appreciation for music. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help students achieve their musical potential and develop a lifelong passion for music.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* A Bachelor’s degree in Music
* Teaching Qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
* Right to work in the UK.
* Proficient in playing at least one musical instrument and strong musical theory knowledge
* Experience teaching Music at KS3-4
* A passion for teaching and a commitment to student achievement
* Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
* Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
* Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
