Our client is seeking a skilled Ships Agent to manage day-to-day ship agency activities, ensuring the highest professional standards when working with clients, vessel staff, and internal stakeholders. This role plays a key part in fostering and sustaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities: Build knowledge of service offerings and promote awareness within all business units. Ensure excellent service delivery to clients, building strong working relationships. Keep management informed of issues and challenges. Collaborate with operational teams and maintain effective communication. Manage workload to meet service requirements and address any issues promptly. Demonstrate flexibility by working across departments. Respond to operational requests from vessels, owners, and charterers. Monitor vessel movements and handle equipment procurement. Accurately input, retrieve, and report data. Review and comply with risk assessments, legislation, and company procedures. Collaborate with safety advisors on incident investigations and safety initiatives. Perform driving duties as required, such as transporting personnel and equipment. Handle any other tasks within qualifications and training. Minimum Requirements: Full, clean driving license. Proficient in Microsoft Suite and familiar with AX. Desirable Qualifications/Competencies: Membership in the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Experience in ship agency, particularly in the marine and supply chain industries. Knowledge of Dangerous Goods by Sea, COSHH, and HSE awareness.
