* Managing challenging behaviors with a calm and supportive approach, fostering a positive and safe environment.
* Acting as a role model and mentor, encouraging healthy habits and an active lifestyle.
* Creating opportunities for students to experience success, build self-esteem, and develop positive peer relationships through team-based sports.
About You:
We are looking for someone with:
* A strong passion for sports and a commitment to supporting students’ mental health and personal development.
* Experience teaching PE or coaching sports, ideally with a focus on children or young people with SEMH needs or within alternative provision settings.
* Skills in adapting physical activities to be accessible, inclusive, and focused on fostering positive social interactions.
* A patient, empathetic approach with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
* Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and experience with positive behavior management or de-escalation techniques is a plus.
* Relevant qualifications in Physical Education, Sports Coaching, or Youth Work, as well as knowledge of SEMH practices, are desirable.
Why Join Us?
* Become part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to the growth and well-being of young people.
* Access ongoing training and development in SEMH-focused approaches and sports-based mentoring.
* Work in a flexible, dynamic environment where your passion for sports and mental health makes a tangible impact.
