ROLE: Wealth Protection/Court of Protection Paralegal
LOCATION: Chester

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking for a talented paralegal with a passion for Court of Protection and Wealth Protection to join our Wealth Protection team reporting to our Wealth Protection Partner/Head of Court of Protection. This expansion is evident through our recent opening of our London and Chester offices.
This is a full-time position based at our Chester office. This is a fantastic opportunity with a well-established firm that offers excellent training and career prospects. We envisage that the successful candidate in this role could potentially secure a Training Contract/SQE Contract after 12 months of service, dependent on performance and business need.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Liaison with clients and third parties to include taking initial instructions
2. Prepare HMRC and Court documentation
3. Assist with client satisfaction and billing
4. Maintaining estate accounts and general client budgets with accuracy and attention to detail
5. Document control - maintaining accurate records and files on our case management system
6. Be understanding and act in a sensitive and sympathetic manner
7. Paying invoices and processing financial transactions on behalf of clients
8. Be responsible for recording all time on the file and documenting work undertaken
9. Ensuring compliance with file management
10. Promote the business, seeking opportunities to cross-refer opportunities
Key Skills:
1. Legal experience as a Paralegal is advantageous but not essential
2. Demonstrate a passion for Court of Protection and Wealth Protection
3. Estate administration experience
4. A strong academic background
5. Strong IT skills including MS Word and Excel
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Team player, with the ability to be self-motivated and professional
8. Excellent analytical and organisational skills
9. Ability to use own initiative
10. Organised and able to comply with deadlines
