Job Description
1. Oversee and manage inventory accounts for the retail sector.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual inventory reports.
3. Conduct regular inventory audits and provide recommendations for improvement.
4. Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards.
6. Identify areas of financial risk and propose mitigation strategies.
7. Support the team in budgeting and forecasting activities.
8. Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Group Inventory Accountant should have:
1. Proven experience in inventory accounting within the retail industry.
2. AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) as a minimum.
3. Expertise in using accounting software and other financial systems.
4. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
6. Problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
7. Must be able to drive, and be comfortable travelling across different sites.
