Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in supporting with the hire of a People & Culture Generalist to join the team on a permanent basis. This a full-time role, but for the right candidate could be considered on a part time basis. You will be based at the club offices at the stadium in Bristol, with the option for some hybrid and flexible working.

Gloucestershire Cricket is one of the 18 First Class County Cricket Clubs in England and Wales. Established in 1870, the club has a rich history in the sport, continued to this day. With redevelopment of their Seat Unique Stadium the club now regularly hosts international cricket, as well as the recently refurbished Bristol Pavilion offering a state of the art media and hospitality venue.

The Role
The team are looking for a hands-on HR Generalist to join the team, and working with the COO will take a lead role in developing their HR function and people strategy. As HR Generalist for the club, you will have overview of all people activity, and play a key part in making sure strong HR foundations are in place, reviewing HR policies and procedures, and considering initiatives to enable development.
Due to the nature of the industry, you will ideally enjoy working in a fast paced and evolving environment. A want to embed yourself into the club and the people is important, as well as a genuine interest in building and contributing to company culture. Someone who is looking to develop HR knowledge, and with a creative and forward-thinking mindset would suit this role.
Responsibilities
1. Provide generalist HR Support to company employees and management
2. Review of club policies and procedures to make sure fit for purpose and in line with current employment law
3. Lead on HR and club-related projects to drive the club forward in achieving tangible outcomes
4. Provide support and guidance to management on employee relations issues, coaching where necessary
5. Oversight of the Club's HR management system
6. Support with recruitment activities across the business, review of onboarding and induction processes
7. With support from the people executive, take ownership for employee lifecycle
8. Effectively communicate HR change across the business
9. Develop people initiatives for the business
Person Specification
10. Proven experience in a Generalist role
11. Ideally Level 5 CIPD qualified
12. Experience in policy and procedure review and Employee Relations
13. Capable of managing a busy and varied workload, prioritising work effectively
14. Excellent organisational and communication skills
15. Interest in developing HR initiatives
16. Desirable - an interest in working a people-led events, sports and hospitality year-round venue
