Exciting opportunity to be a Policy Manager in the Local Government Finance Team at COSLA.

We work on councils' behalf to focus on the challenges and opportunities they face, and to engage positively with governments and others on policy, funding and legislation. COSLA’s Local Government Finance Team has responsibility for all areas relating to local government finance. The post holder will have a key role in contributing to the budget and settlement process for Local Government and will lead on key policy areas such as Council Tax Reform and the Fiscal Framework.
The post-holder will be expected to deal with senior politicians from Local, Scottish and UK Government, as well as senior representatives of public, private and third sector organisations.
Candidates should have a professional accountancy qualification or equivalent relevant experience working in a finance setting.
