Requirements
10. 4 GCSEs A-C (including English and Mathematics) or equivalent
11. 2 years' experience in similar roles working with young people with learning disabilities and challenging behavioural needs
12. Must be flexible for evening, weekends, night and day shifts as per rota requirements
13. Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and compliance due to the nature of this work
14. Up to date Immunisation records to complete a full occupational health review
15. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
16. Effective time management and prioritisation skills
17. Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment
Responsibilities
18. Have an understanding of how to respond and report robustly and effectively to disclosures and concerns of abuse, as defined by the SBNI core policies and procedures
19. Deliver a service, which meets all organisational and professional responsibilities
20. Have an awareness of policies and procedures in respect of Child Abuse Investigation and Joint Protocol procedure
21. Assist with the supervision of the young people's clothing, furnishings and household equipment and undertake household and domestic duties
22. Support the young people by undertaking their general supervision and be involved in their educational work and leisure activities
23. Accompany the young people, when required, on leisure activities, holidays, outings and visits including attendance at appropriate church services
24. Transport young people to/ from school, on activities, outings etc.
25. Promote or undertake personal care duties in the case of young people with a disability where required
26. Promote and implement a Positive Behaviour Support model and child centred approach
27. Contribute to, and participate in, reviews, staff meetings, in-service training, supervision and individual programmes of care in respect of the young people
