1:1 Teaching Assistant - SEND School, Southport

About the Role:
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a vibrant and nurturing SEND school in Southport. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a Year 10 student with additional needs. This role is vital in helping the student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support tailored to the student's individual education plan (IEP).
Assist with daily learning activities, ensuring the student remains engaged and on task.
Support the student in managing emotions and behaviours in line with school policies.
Liaise with teachers, SEND specialists, and parents/carers to monitor progress and adapt strategies where necessary.
Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment for the student.What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND, preferably in a school setting.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students with additional needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff and families.
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
