Warehouse Team Leader; Talbot Green, near Cardiff.
6am-2pm, Sun-Thurs .
£30,240 per annum + benefits.
As Team Leader your purpose is to support and assist the Shift Manager with the organisation and control of efficient and profitable operations with the depot.
Key responsibilities:
1. To support the Shift Manager with the supervision of effective operations and adherence to H&S legislation
2. To carry out supervisory tasks as required by the Shift Manger
3. To carry out minor administration tasks as required by the Shift Manager
4. To cover areas of operations when low on resources as requested by the Shift Manager to ensuring consistent operational performance
5. To ensure effective operations in the temporary absence of the Shift Manager
6. To assist in the maintenance of depot hygiene operations
7. To be vigilant to support the maintenance of high levels of security within the depot
8. The assist with staff scheduling, including absence management and performance
9. To assist the Shift Manager in the effective use, legal compliance and maintenance of all equipment, refrigeration, plant and machinery
Skills/Experience:
10. Good level of Maths and English and working knowledge of Microsoft programmes- Word and Excel is desirable
11. Warehousing and transport experience preferred
12. Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build good working relationships with colleagues and customers
13. Strong organisation and time management skills essential
14. Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently
15. Demonstrates integrity, a strong work ethic and upholds company values and principles
16. Customer focused and understands the importance of this to the business
17. Ability to deal with conflict in an effective and professional manner
18. Shows a commitment to ongoing personal development and training, always striving to improve
