We are looking to strengthen our SHEQ team with a Environmental Advisor based at Site on the Anglian Water framework
You will report directly to the Environmental Manager and your role will provide support to project teams during pre-construction and on-site stages of multiple projects You’ll assist in the preparation and review of environmental paperwork required for construction ensuring we remain ethical and compliant whilst not impacting on pressing deadlines.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Work collaboratively across the @one Alliance contract to ensure requirements of the Environmental Management System (EMS) are delivered at appropriate stages and environmental constraints are communicated.
2. Consult with environmental regulators and key stakeholders where not undertaken in earlier project planning stages.
3. Support project and construction teams through provision of environmental advice during pre-construction meetings and the preparation of documentation to identify and record environmental risks and control measures.
4. Undertake regular inspections and audits on construction sites across the region to ensure compliance with current environmental legislation and internal requirements and highlight and promote best practices.
5. Support Partner Organisations in achieving their environmental goals and sustainability objectives.
6. Form part of the CAT1 and CAT2 incident investigation team and assist with the reporting of CAT3 and CAT4 / Near miss reporting whilst updating the NCR log for environmental issues and close out.
7. Develop and deliver training on environmental issues as required by the @one Alliance training plan.
8. Provide accurate, timely and value-added performance reporting to contribute to business decision making.
