As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Senior Backend Magento Developer (m/f/d) who will be responsible for gathering requirements, planning, developing, and supporting our Magento 2 platform, as well as working alongside our SAP team to implement new features and functionality. The Senior Backend Developer will work closely with the global eCommerce engineering team in Taiwan. What you’ll do Develop a thorough understanding of the brand’s business, objectives, and existing technologies. Design optimal technical solutions based on the brand’s business needs. Document all solutions, integrations, extensions, or enhancements within the web ecosystem. Translate client requirements into projects and tasks with detailed technical specifications. Monitor and maintain all relevant brand websites, prioritizing uptime and availability. Partner with the SAP team to ensure integrations meet or exceed brand goals and objectives. Manage all project tasks and communications with the project team to keep projects on track for successful completion. Attend daily/weekly status meetings with the global eCommerce engineering team. Collaborate with the global eCommerce engineering team on new features. Stay up to date on developments in web applications and programming languages. Provide mentorship to fellow teammates. What You’ll Bring: A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or comparable relevant years of work experience. Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in Magento development roles within a B2C/B2B environment. Adobe Certified Professional or Expert certifications (Developer or Developer with Cloud Add-on) are strongly preferred Experience with Magento 2, Adobe Commerce Cloud, and e-commerce architectures. Strong backend development skills, including PHP, Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Node.js), front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), and cloud services like AWS. Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications, writing user stories, and collaborating with teams on ERP systems (preferably SAP) and project management software (e.g., Asana). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong planning and organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. A proactive and self-motivated approach, excelling in fast-paced environments, with a proven ability to mentor teammates and collaborate across functions.
