About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Assembly Technician to work on vehicle assembly and test based out of our state-of-the-art facility in Merthyr Tydfil. This role will be on a 9 month FTC basis.
You'll be working to strict specifications, procedures, schematics and engineering drawings on projects critical to the MOD.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
1. Proven experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician / Aircraft Assembly Technician, Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
2. Ability to complete set ups and perform quality and performance testing.
3. Ability to work from written instructions with limited supervision.
4. Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment with high accuracy.
5. Ability to liaise with the test support, engineering and Quality functions.
6. Attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are mitigated
7. Hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.
8. Understanding of “clean as you go”/6S/FOD/Tool control programs mandatory.
9. Experienced with quality inspection points and process documentation.
10. A very high level of health and safety awareness.
11. Must be able to take direction well and is a strong team player.
12. Extreme attention to detail and continual pursuit of perfection.
13. Excellent listening and communication skills.
14. Excellent organisation skills and problem-solving skills.
