We are seeking a skilled Workshop Buyer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing of various workshop relevant materials, leveraging your procurement expertise to source new suppliers and drive cost-cutting initiatives.
This role is pivotal in ensuring our initiatives are completed to the highest standards, on schedule, and within allocated budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and manage the purchasing of metals and joinery materials for our workshop.
* Source and evaluate new suppliers to optimize our supply chain.
* Negotiate favourable terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
* Analyse market trends and pricing to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
* Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
* Collaborate with internal teams to understand and fulfil material requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year experience in procurement, preferably in the metal or joinery industry.
* Proven track record of successful supplier sourcing and cost-cutting initiatives.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure favourable terms.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite.
