We are looking for a Creative Assistant to join our Photo Studio team at Next!
You will be part of a fantastic team working as one to deliver high-quality imagery for Next in line with our creative direction. The position will specialise in working on the Still Life Cutout Channel but may not be limited to this. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is at the start of their creative journey with a passion for studio photography and a thirst for knowledge.

About the role
This role is an entry-level position that involves providing support to still-life photographers and stylists to ensure the delivery of high-quality imagery for Next customers. You will take direction from your Stylist in line with your Creative Lead. The ideal candidate will be focused, driven, and hard-working, with the maturity and empathy to take direction well.
Remaining calm and professional while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude is essential. Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn and develop, and the ability to adapt to changing requirements are also key for this role. You must be interested in developing your photography and styling skill s. Building and maintaining strong relationships with your Creative Lead and Senior is vital.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibility as an assistant will be to ensure that photography sets run smoothly. You will need to be responsive to constantly changing situations. Your tasks may include but are not limited to assisting the photographers with lighting and camera work, photographing or styling products for the website when required, naming and maintaining digital files, preparing stock for shoots, shopping for props, calling suppliers, cleaning and maintaining the studio, and handling various other tasks. You should also be flexible to work at other Next studios, external studios, and on location when required.

5. Experience in a creative studio environment would be beneficial but not essential
6. Passion for fashion or e-commerce photography
7. Proficiency in using Apple operating systems (Mac and iOS)
8. Familiarity with photography tethering software such as Capture One or Lightroom
9. Forward-thinking, innovative, and proactive in approaching all projects
10. Strong planning, workload management, and organisational skills
11. Highly developed interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
12. Creative flair and knowledge, with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions
13. Comfortable working in a highly pressured and rapidly changing environment
14. Exemplary attention to detail
15. Possession of a full UK driving licence and confidence in driving to new locations
As this is a supporting role, we do not expect an extensive portfolio, but we do expect enough to understand your skills, interests, and abilities.
