The role
of the Real Estate Analytics team to utilise data to provide insights and advice. We work with people at all levels of the organisation and influence a broad range of topics from the way the offices are designed, to the size and location of our future offices.
This analytics team prides itself on leading the way in how we gather and interpret data available within the business, working with teams across PwC to implement a best in class approach to providing analytical insights to our Firm's leadership. In addition to this, we work with a culture of innovation, continuously challenging ourselves to try new technologies and produce new insights.
This role is an opportunity to lead a critical sub team whose purpose is to ingest data into our database, form connections across our data network and provide suitable outputs ready to be used for reports and dashboards. In addition to this, we will be looking to you to bring new ideas into the team and think about how we can get our hands around new and complicated datasets.
Roles and responsibilities
1. Manage a small team of data scientists, overseeing and delegating tasks.
2. Plan and record a delivery plan of activities
3. Coach and mentor reportees, upskilling and guiding through a Personal Development Plan
4. Write and manage code that brings large and complicated datasets into a singular database with interconnected data.
5. Maintain and write documentation that governs and records how we manage data (i.e. data dictionary)
Skills
6. Advanced manipulator of data with knowledge of practices of managing data, drawing data from a data lake and preparing that data, ready for analytics (reports and automated dashboards).
7. Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL.
8. Experience in Dimensional Data Modelling.
9. Hands-on experience in Azure Databricks and Apache Spark.
10. Experience in fetching data from third-party APIs.
11. Skilled analyst, capable of taking data and easily articulating a compelling story.
12. Coaches others, recognises their strengths, and guides them with their personal development.
13. Experienced in navigating the technological landscape of a large corporation.
14. Knowledgeable about and proactive in upholding best practice data governance.
15. Maintains technical documentation and implements governance and data quality practices.
16. Methodical in approach to managing work output and ensuring deliverables are met.
17. Preferable experience of the Real Estate sector and how data can be used to influence the built environment.
18. Forward thinking in their approach, open to trying new ideas and contributing to discussions about the future of our Real Estate.
19. Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
20. Drive Real Estate requirements to a separate team that process some data for us and provide us with a data mart.
21. Connect with data suppliers to ensure timely updates to data and assurance of quality
