We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Band 5 Physiotherapist to join a dynamic healthcare team in one of the Trusts in the Midlands. The Trust plays a crucial role in delivering a wide range of health services to local communities, focusing on providing care closer to home, reducing hospital admissions, and supporting patients in their communities.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Provide Physiotherapy assessments and interventions for people with learning disabilities and complex health needs, including 24-hour postural management, mobility, falls, community-based respiratory care, and rehabilitation from acute injuries and/or conditions.
2. Provide specialist equipment, including sleep systems, specialist standing frames, walking aids, and guidance for supportive seating.
3. Provide support for specialist moving and handling techniques.
4. Offer support to assistants and support workers within the team.
Skills:
5. BSc Hons in Physiotherapy or a postgraduate diploma in Physiotherapy.
6. HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
7. Experience working with adults with learning disabilities.
8. Experience as a qualified Physiotherapist.
9. Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills, along with clear and logical presentation skills.
10. Knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of Information Governance principles.
11. Experience completing mobility assessments.
12. Experience completing initial assessments and risk assessments.
