Have a teaching qualification and fancy creating your own course content around financial literacy for learners with learning disabilities? (You dont need prior experience with the subject matter!)
This charity has secured 12 months of funding in partnership with a global bank to develop and deliver training for adults with learning disabilities, focusing on financial literacy. The training will cover essential topics such as budgeting, accessing banking services, managing debt, avoiding scams, and financial exploitation.
The 12-month project timeline: Months 15 : Fact-finding and research to develop content. This includes connecting with charities to identify potential learners. They anticipate creating 56 modules.
Months 47 : Testing the content with learners to ensure it has real-world impact.
Months 712 : Delivering the content and making a tangible difference. This phase also involves compiling a report on lessons learned and best practices.
While this is technically a home-based role, the charity expects 12 days a week of on-site delivery, which could be in London or Manchester (travel expenses are covered, and occasional overnight stays may be required). For ease, you should ideally be based in or near either city.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a teaching background or a newly qualified teacher. Experience working with learning disabilities is desirable but not essential. Its a unique chance to develop and own a project, while gaining experience working with a global bank and a leading charity.
