ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is looking to recruit a Managing Director to head their new Door Manufacturing Business Durham. The role will be open to experienced Production Managers who are looking to take the next advancement in their career as well as experienced Directors, who have ideally progressed from the bench and up the management ranks.
This workshop momentarily specialise in doorsets, solely supplying the carpentry side of the Group, however there’s long term plans to break into production of bespoke joinery and cabinetry working on external projects for different clients – A nice project to drive!
You’ll be responsible for full management of the workshop and production line of all projects. By overseeing business development, design, estimating, production and logistics with regular meetings at their London HQ, which will be fully expensed.
Duties
1. Oversee and supervise all aspects of the manufacturing operations
2. Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and meet production goals
3. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
4. Manage and optimize manufacturing processes to minimize costs and maximize productivity Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
5. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
6. Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including financial forecasting and cost control measures
7. Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing professionals to achieve departmental objectives

Most importantly the candidate for this role must be trustworthy, reliable, conscientious and a team player.
8. Qualifications: – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
9. Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
10. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
11. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
12. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, financial resources, and cost control measures
13. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
