An Overview of the Role
You will be joining the Industrial Data & AI squad of the Digital Engineering team in Invent you will play a crucial role in helping organisations optimise their engineering processes, enhance data-driven decision-making, and drive efficiency across various domains such as manufacturing, energy and utilities using data & AI.
You will use your business and technical knowledge, together with your strong understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts, to help clients develop the justifications for change, identify the opportunities for value realisation as well as defining the elements that need to put in place to realise their ambitions. This would typically include transformation roadmaps, business cases, operating model design, generating insights and solution architectures

The projects you’ll work on will transform our client’s operations and will help deliver sustained profitability, efficiency, quality, and behavioural change improvements. You will be able to work with colleagues from other parts of Capgemini such as Engineering, frog, Cambridge Consultants to develop compelling, comprehensive propositions for transforming and improving our
client’s manufacturing operations.

We are looking for entrepreneurial individuals with the knowledge and creativity to deliver truly inventive solutions to our clients.
Depending on the stage you are at in your career, we’re looking for data-driven individuals with appropriate levels of knowledge and/or experience of engineering design, built and operations, in one or more of the following areas:
4. Experience with software underpinning digital thread/twin and their respective capabilities this should include one or more of the following – MBSE, PLM, ERP, MES, Enterprise Asset Management, and IoT platforms i.e., Azure, AWS
5. Experience in Industrial Data Platforms AWS and Azure IoT, AWS, Google, Azure and Digital Twins software: AVEVA, Cognite, Dassault, Bentley, Siemens.
6. Domain-specific knowledge of digital threads from one or more of the following: Automotive, Aerospace and Defence, Utilities, Energy, Construction, FMCG and Life Sciences is beneficial.
7. Experience in python programming language and SQL.
8. Experience implementing and using RESTful APIs.
9. Experience with Large Language Models and techniques: AI-agents, RAG, fine-tuning, semantic grounding.
10. Agile practices and project management framework such as Scrum and Kanban.
11. Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
12. Have effective and clear communication skills both written and verbal.
13. Experience of proposition building and delivery.
14. Be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
