Our client is looking for a Full Time Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team near Walsall.
The practice has a family friendly feel with low staff turnover. Staff outings, rewards, lunch breaks adhered to and monthly wellbeing team building periods. The practice is a great location with good links to Birmingham and Wolverhampton as well as good airport links.
The team is made up of experienced Vets with interest/cert studying in Surgery, Medicine and Ophthalmology. Good ratio of RVNs also with cert holders in ECC and Feline Medicine. The practice is well equipped including full surgery, digital radiography, in-house lab, ultrasound and dental equipment in all surgeries. The surgery certificate holders routinely perform orthopaedic procedures such as TTA and TPLO. In the group they also have certificate holders or undertaking in exotics, ECC, imaging, medicine and a vet with a special interest in Ophthalmology and also a visiting cardiologist working up cases using Echocardiography/ECG.
They are now looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to perform a mixture of surgery and consultations in general practice. The position is open to full or part time applications. Full time hours would be 4 day working week with a share of Saturdays with the overall working hours not exceeding 40 hours per week. There is full support from experienced Veterinary Surgeons for a recent graduate or career progression/certificate funding for more experienced candidates. Salary up to £70k pa dependent on experience + a welcome bonus of £5k.
You may be newly qualified or have a wealth of experience to bring to the role. The successful applicant will be qualified and registered with the RCVS. You must be someone who is enthusiastic, positive and organised with good communication skills. You will be a supportive team player with a high standard of patient care, and you will also have a client-focused approach.
