Qualification and Experience
12. Qualified Teacher Status
13. Degree qualification or equivalent
14. Demonstrable achievements in excellence as a teacher
15. Experience as a KS2/KS3/KS4/KS5 teacher
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
16. Expert understanding of innovative pedagogy
17. Experience of assessment without levels including tracking pupil progress
18. Knowledge and understanding of statutory assessment arrangements at KS2 to KS5
19. Knowledge and understanding of effective strategies to manage the behaviour of pupils
20. Excellent knowledge of inclusion including SEMH, EAL, bilingual learners, minority ethnic achievement and equality (race, disability, and gender)
21. Excellent understanding of safeguarding especially the safety and welfare of vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils
22. Expert knowledge of strategies for closing the gap
23. The ability and willingness to teach a range of subjects
24. An understanding of a range of SEND needs, including SEMH
25. Contribution to the educational and social development of each young person
26. The ability to form effective relationships with young people, their families (if appropriate) and external agencies
27. To ensure that young people’s views and wishes are sought and acted upon where appropriate
28. Ensure that appropriate resources and environment exist for individual pupils referred to the service, and that opportunity for inclusion are available to all our students
29. To liaise with other teachers and teaching assistants in the team to ensure effective deployment of resources
