TPF Recruitment are recruiting for an Accountancy Practice Tax Manager on behalf of our highly reputable and growing client based in Crawley. Our client is one of the most respected firms of chartered accountants in Sussex; they boast a fantastic reputation and have an exciting client base made up of clients within the entertainment sector. These include actors and artists, sports professional, bloggers, vloggers and you-tubers to name a few. You will have exposure to some fascinating work, servicing this prestigious client base.
Responsibilities would include:
* Liaising and corresponding with HMRC in respect of clearance applications, enquiries etc
* Drafting reports and letters of advice for many tax advisory issues
* Preparing calculations to support advice
* Liaising with clients and attending meetings with other team members
* Training and reviewing work of more junior members of staff
* Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group
Examples of work you would assist the team with include:
* Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs such as EIS/SEIS, staff incentive schemes
* Advising owner managed businesses regarding remuneration planning, succession planning
* Preparation of research & development claims, VAT returns, SDLT returns
* Advising individuals regarding IHT planning and CGT mitigation
* Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns
Requirements
If you are not CTA qualified, you must be AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified and keen to study towards CTA. Experience with corporate taxes is essential and experience in other areas of tax will also beneficial. You may currently be working in an accounts/audit team with a strong interest in tax advisory, or you may already be working within a dedicated tax team.

* Excellent teamwork and organisational skills, including monitoring timetables and budgets
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* A keen interest in learning and developing tax knowledge

£45,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.
