Job Advert: Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Essex
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure the effective execution of their roles and SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) responsibilities. Your daily tasks will include:
1. Providing timely and effective operational SHE support and advice to the business unit.
2. Implementing and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements, Kier Group's SHEA IMS, Client requirements, and best practices.
3. Conducting regular and robust health and safety inspections and audits.
4. Managing the reporting and review of SHEA accidents/incidents on the contract.
5. Ensuring all new starters are appropriately inducted.
What are we looking for?
This role of Health and Safety Advisor is ideal for candidates who possess:
1. NEBOSH Certificate (Construction) or equivalent qualification.
2. Membership of relevant professional institution (e.g., Tech IOSH or above).
3. Experience working in a similar role within the construction/highways industry.
