About the Department
Our Group Technology organisation is responsible for delivering live technology services to abrdn’s global businesses. The Change Management Lead role is a key position within the global Service Management team, reporting to the Head of Incident, Problem, and Change Management. This team drives and maintains the high-performance technology services that enable our business and clients to thrive.
About the Role
As the Lead for Change Management, you will be responsible for managing the IT Change Management function. You will coordinate daily IT change activities and guide our managed service provider teams to deliver stable and high-quality services. In this role, you will identify and manage improvement initiatives to optimize performance, ensuring standard processes are followed. You will also drive initiatives to enhance service resilience, regulatory compliance, and overall service quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the Change Management process owner, responsible for its daily application and performance.
* Lead IT change training efforts across the IT environment.
* Manage retrospective change reviews and coordinate change protection and freeze periods.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory audits and implement improvements across the change management process.
* Responsible for annual, ad-hoc and unexpected regulatory audit processes.
* Lead managed service provider teams to ensure reliable and risk-aware service delivery.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
* Subject matter expertise in ITIL/Service Management standard methodologies.
* Experience leading both in-house and outsourced Organisational Change teams.
* Effective collaborator, skilled at balancing differing priorities.
* Proven track record of working within complex IT environments.
* Excellent reporting and Microsoft Office skills with high attention to detail.
* Strong customer service ethos, collaboration skills, and a proactive approach.
* Effective leadership and time management skills, able to coordinate cross-functional efforts.
