Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Key Stage 1 teacher with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to provide high-quality education and support to young learners.
The successful candidate will:
Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the needs of children with SEN, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Manage classroom behavior and adapt teaching strategies to support students with a range of additional needs.
Work closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Track and assess the progress of students, ensuring they are reaching their full potential.
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment.
Contribute to the wider school community and ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Minimum of 2 years' UK teaching experience working with SEN children in a similar environment.
Experience working with Key Stage 1 students and managing a class.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
Up-to-date safeguarding certificate.
A patient, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching.
