Job Description
Insight Travel Services Ltd is currently recruiting for a professionally qualified (CA/ACCA/CIMA) Finance Manager to join the finance team in Port Glasgow. The company is a shared service centre for The Travel Corporation Group, a global travel business with many brands and offices throughout the world. The office is located within Inverclyde and provides services to various group companies.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will have full responsibility of the accountancy function for the Radical Travel Group which encompasses two coach tour operators (Highland Explorer Tours and Haggis Adventures), a hostel (Morag’s Lodge) and a hotel (The Skye Inn).
This exciting opportunity offers a hybrid working arrangement (after probation period) and would be ideally suited to an enthusiastic and ambitious individual with a broad skillset.
Responsibilities:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and year end statutory accounts
* Overall responsibility for annual budgets, periodic forecasts and cash flow projections
* Preparing and filing quarterly VAT returns
* Involvement in the annual costing and pricing process
* Project work regarding potential expansion
* Reviewing balance sheet and other reconciliations prepared by accounts assistants
* Liaising with auditors during both the internal and external audit process
* Ensuring group internal control guidelines are followed and reporting deadlines are met
Requirements:
* A recognised professional accounting qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Strong technical knowledge with a keen eye for detail
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook at advanced or intermediate level
* Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines
* Proactive and flexible attitude
Hours - Full time (permanent), 36.25 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Based – Port Glasgow (hybrid), occasional travel to Edinburgh
