Chief Financial Officer
Private Equity Backed Digital/E-Commerce/Brand Engagement Business
c.£150k Base Salary + Package + Exit Bonus

Our client is a market-leading PE backed marketing business providing world class loyalty and engagement programmes for both B2B and B2C customers. The business has scaled over the last 20 years via product expansion and acquisition and is looking to bring in a new investor to accelerate its substantial growth plans. As such, the business is looking to recruit a high calibre, experienced and commercial CFO who will lead an exit for the current investor in the next 12 months, bring challenge and commerciality to the boardroom, and rigour and structure to the finance function, as the business embarks on a new investment lifecycle.
As a business partner to the CEO, you will have responsibility for all financial matters relating to the business including bank relationships, interface with the PE investor, recruitment, development and retention of the appropriate resource within the finance team. You will deliver accurate and transparent numbers in order to provide visibility of business performance through commercial analysis, budget setting, financial controls, cost control, forecasting and monitoring KPIs will be paramount. You will play a full part in business planning, strategy development and commercial input on M&A targets and sales and marketing initiatives, as well as developing robust financial models to allow the business to operate at its optimum efficiency.
We are looking for a highly ambitious, energetic, qualified accountant with experience of operating as a standalone CFO in market, digital, e-commerce or business services environment ideally. We may also consider a proven PE CFO who has been through an investment lifecycle where we are more sector agnostic, however you must have done so in a business that has been making at least £5m ebitda. You will have a demonstrable track record in the development and application of KPIs with excellent financial and management reporting skills and M&A. A strong operational understanding, you must be highly analytical in nature coupled with an informal and dynamic style with a willingness to roll your sleeves up to get things done. You will have the desire and ability to add value whilst also challenging colleagues in an effective and appropriate way to facilitate good decision making. A real team player who can work effectively at all levels within the business with strong leadership and people development skills.
You will be required to work in the office in West Yorkshire Tuesdays to Thursdays which is commutable from Manchester and other parts of the NW as well as Yorkshire.
