Project Engineering Manager
Based - Stoke on Trent, ST4 6PH
Salary £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
Working hours - Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week
We are recruiting for for a Project Engineering Manager to join our established Engineering department at our Mr Kipling bakery in Stoke on Trent, where we make the nations favourite Mr Kipling cakes.
What you will be doing:
1. Development of pipeline of suitable projects, including; feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis
2. Lead compilation of capital authority request documentation/narrative
3. Lead and engage end users in the development of engineering scope
4. Develop functional design specifications in compliance with engineering & Premier specifications
5. Selection of preferred supplier(s) through robust selection process, including application of appropriate contract
6. Management of all health and safety aspects of capital projects (e.g. CDM requirements)
7. Reporting of project progress; tracking of milestones, activity, priorities, financials
8. Ensure compliance at pre-delivery milestones to user acceptance test protocols
9. Manage key resource through to project delivery
10. Manage post-delivery process including installation, commissioning, training, etc.
What we need from you:
11. An Engineering Degree or equivalent
12. Minimum 5 years of Food/FMCG background
13. Extensive capital project management experience with a customer focus
14. Conversant with relevant legislation (e.g. IEE 17th Edition, DSEAR, etc)
15. Demonstrable record in successful delivery of engineering capital projects in FMCG with particular emphasis on specification/integration/implementation
16. CAD literate and MS Project proficient
17. Demonstrable control system and PLC design/specifications experience
18. Strong working knowledge/experience of Rockwell/Allen Bradley control systems
