Purpose:
The Operations Engineer (Offshore) is predominantly based Offshore on a 2/2 rotation mobilising from Blackpool, and is to provide technical, maintenance and engineering support to the Site Operations team. Focal point for coordination of facilities engineering activities and projects offshore to minimise single point failures and expedite equipment back into service in a cost-effective manner. Support root cause analysis. Supporting the Management of Change process, leading incident investigations and risk assessment. Reviewing and updating procedures, integrated management system, planning and scheduling, maintenance reporting, contracts, cost control and team leadership in accordance with the Company plans, management systems and all applicable legislation.
Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Work in direct support of OIM.
2. Provide specialist technical, engineering and leadership into operational, planning and engineering issues.
3. Support operational risks ensuring appropriate prioritisation, mitigation, and contingencies.
4. Identify areas for improvement within the offshore process and systems.
5. Close liaison with onshore teams for optimisation and report in all functional areas, as required.
6. Act as focal point for offshore Management of Change and other technical reviews, assessments and execution as required, including Decommissioning and future CCS activities
7. Ensure a safe system of work by compliance to Company procedures, work permits and risk assessments.
8. Support planning and investigation of production outage or loss.
9. Support all Production activities to meet the set business targets.
10. Provide effective communication, both offshore and onshore.
11. Analyse key data to optimise Operational efficiency. Updating company management and Reporting systems.
12. Minimise Down time events and support root cause analyses to eradicate repeat failures and equipment single point of failure.
13. Maintain Company reputation relating to all production operations offshore.
14. Ensure full compliance with Eni MSGs, policies and practices, and applicable legislation and regulations.
15. Support initiatives to promote visible and pro-active management commitment and employee involvement in HSE activities.
16. Enforces and encourages use of START to improve safety culture and behaviours.
17. Lead/attend Hazops/Hazids/WPRA/Toolbox talks as required.
18. Ensure adherence to SAP FORMAT processes and procedures.
19. To fully comply with Eni Code of Ethics, Law 231 principles and Fighting Corruption Initiative.
20. Compliance with all Mandatory and Statutory training requirements for Liverpool Bay as per HSE Competency Matrix and Eni Competency Assurance Framework.

22. Remote offshore site – high safety and environmental regulatory standards.
23. Mature facilities and infrastructure – ensure the integrity of the asset is maintained.

25. May be required to work from other Liverpool Bay sites, including onshore as part of a rotational pattern and/or for special projects.

Qualifications & Experience:
37. Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering with accreditation by professional body.
38. Significant oil and gas industry experience in process facility production operations.
39. Leadership and management experience in an offshore production facility.
40. Thorough knowledge of HSE management systems in an offshore hydrocarbon facility.
41. Knowledgeable in relevant Regulatory requirements and Legislation ( DCR, PUWER, HSW, RIDDOR, PFEER).
Required Competencies:
42. Experienced Engineer with extensive knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry to ensure compliance with regulations and legislation.
43. Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
44. Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective work relationships and foster strong networks with other leaders and peers.
45. Effective time management.
46. Compliance with all Mandatory and Statutory training requirements for Liverpool Bay as per HSE Competency Matrix
47. Compliance with the Eni Best Practice requirements contained within the “Duties for HSE Sensitive Roles Upstream” procedure, ensuring all relevant parties are aware of their responsibilities.
Working Conditions
48. Certified to work offshore (BOSIET, OEUK Medical).
49. Rotational position as required by Company, predominantly offshore.
50. May need to work onshore as part of the rotation and/or for specific projects as required by Company.
