Fantastic opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager!
Our client is a rapidly expanding civil engineering company that now requires a Health & Safety Manager to join their busy team based in the North East.
As the Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that an organisation and its employees adhere to safety standards. Your duties include creating and implementing organisational safety guidelines, promoting a culture of safety in the workplace, and performing regular site inspections to check compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Producing and modifying RAMS
2. Performing a daily site walkabout to ensure operations are adhering to health and safety standards
3. Managing a small team of Health and Safety advisors
4. Reviewing all work procedures and ensuring they meet industry safety standards
5. Preparing and filing reports for accidents and other safety breaches
6. Staying up to date with health, safety, and environment regulations
7. Ensuring safe installation of equipment and overseeing subcontractors on a day to day basis
8. Conducting training sessions on health and safety awareness with the internal team

Requirements:
1. A degree or certificate in Health and Safety
2. NEBOSH in construction
3. IOSH or grad IOSH
4. A full UK driving license
5. The ability to be mobile around the North of the country
