The Role
:
Work as part of the production team to assemble and test products for customer orders to a high standard and best engineering practice.
Use appropriate handheld, power tools and workshop equipment.
Preparation of parts prior to construction (de-burring, reaming etc.).
Construction and testing of complete machines in small batches.
Assisting in the construction of larger automated machinery.
Route and mount electrical / pneumatic components as required.
Wiring of simple control panels and ideally have a basic understanding of electrical and PLC principals.
Portable Appliance Testing of finished machines.
Follow all ISO9001 Quality and Change Management processes.
Contributing to the maintaining of Workshop cleanliness.
The Candidate:
Experience as a mechanical technician or similar mechanical fitting role.
Amy experience with pneumatics is highly beneficial.
Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
Good and effective communication skills.
Good time-management skills
Experience and confident use of hand tools such as hand drills, press tooling etc.
The Package:
Offering up to £32k, plus annual bonus (up to 7%), strong pension and private medical.
