Due to a highly experienced and qualified member of staff gaining promotion in another education setting, Sheldwich Primary School are seeking to appoint a full time teaching assistant (28.75hrs 8:45am – 3:30pm) to work in our happy and supportive school. Experience of working as a teaching assistant in Upper Key Stage 2 within Primary Schools is essential.
High standards of classroom management, professionalism and expectations of pupils are also required and the ability to cover classes in class teacher absence would also be an advantage.
Post requirements:
The successful applicant will need to possess the following qualities:
Relevant experience working as a teaching assistant within an educational setting (Upper Key Stage 2 is essential).
An excellent standard of literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) English, Maths and IT at grades “C” or above.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small team.
An understanding of the ethos of the school and the ability to work within this ethos in order to support and develop all pupils regardless of ability, education, behavioural, social or emotional needs.
A willingness to play a full part in the life of the school with regard to supporting in lessons, pastoral care, curriculum enrichment activities and building positive relationships with pupils and staff alike.
