We are seeking an experienced Head Baker who is passionate about the art of baking, has an eye for quality, and is ready to manage all aspects of bread and pastry production.
As our Head Baker, you will oversee daily baking operations, from opening the bakery to ensuring every item meets our high standards. Your role will involve sourcing quality ingredients, following precise measurements, and managing the dough-making process from start to finish.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing ingredient quality and ensuring adherence to our standards
* Preparing ovens and equipment for production
* Measuring and weighing wet and dry ingredients accurately
* Using mixers to blend ingredients for optimal consistency
* Following procedures for dough rising, resting, kneading, and shaping
* Baking items in ovens or on grills, setting timers to ensure perfect results
* Innovating with new and exciting recipes to expand our baked goods selection
* Package and displaying baked items to prepare for shop opening
* Managing inventory and ordering supplies to ensure smooth operations
You will need:
* Proven experience in baking and managing a bakery or similar environment
* Strong understanding of baking techniques and processes
* Excellent time-management skills and ability to work under pressure
* Creative flair and a passion for high-quality baked goods
* Ability to lead, train, and inspire a small team
