A GOOD INTERNSHIP IS NEVER HANDS OFF
SHARE YOUR PASSION
We believe in creating an environment where our interns really can learn by doing and where they are given their own areas of responsibility right from the start of their time with us. That’s why our experts will treat you as part of the team from day one, encourage you to bring your own ideas to the table – and give you the opportunity to really show what you can do.
Plant Oxford is the birthplace and heart of MINI production. Manufactured to individual customer specifications, hundreds of MINIs leave the plant’s assembly lines each day, off to meet new owners in more than 110 countries around the world. Three UK plants have a part to play in MINI production – Plant Hams Hall makes engines, Plant Swindon produces body pressings and sub-assemblies for MINI, and all this comes together at Plant Oxford with body shell production, paint and final.
BMW Plant Swindon is an integral part of The BMW Group’s production triangle. The majority of body components for the MINI – including all the skin panels and closure assemblies – originate at BMW Group Plant Swindon. We’re proud of our achievements, some of which include:
1. We have approximately 200 panel parts produced from our 8 automated press line facilities. 80% supply to Plant Oxford, 20% to BMW network. 30 additional parts are also produced in the sub-assembly technology to supply Oxford.
2. Our zero waste to landfill philosophy; none of the materials we use are sent to landfill.
3. The opportunity to get involved with our continued to support to our house charity with a variety of fundraising events throughout the year
