Rates: £650 - £700 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella
Clearance: BPSS (DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK
My renewable energy client is urgently seeking a Cable Systems Engineer / Cable Design Engineer for a remote working role with occasional travel to their offices in Glasgow. Suitable candidates should be knowledgeable in ratings calculations, earthing considerations and Electrical calculations rather than burial tool assessments.
Responsibilities:
Technical input in support of Offshore Export cable selection and refinement
Co-ordination of cable route survey scopes and assessment of cable burial risk / opportunities across proposed routes
Development of Inter-Array cable layouts and optimisation
Provide definition of cable installation methodologies in support of project consenting inputs
Assessment of cable rating constraints along both onshore and offshore Export Cable corridors
Development of execution strategy for both Export and Inter-Array cables and development of project programme
Support in engagement with supply chain, ensuring project strategy aligns with market expectationsYou should demonstrate:
FEED stage into design, ideally in HVDC.
Electrically design biased rather than installation manager experience.
