ABOUT THE ROLE
We are in search of a talented professional with a keen commercial skill and a meticulous eye for detail, someone eager to evolve and grow. The ideal candidate should possess a foundational understanding of carpentry and joinery, coupled with some industry experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Your primary base will be at their Head Office in Hertfordshire, with occasional site visits, and the possibility of remote work can be discussed.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Administer change control processes, identify pricing, and negotiate variations.
2. Assist in managing cost-to-complete and cost-value reconciliations for projects.
3. Prepare and submit applications for payments, as well as negotiate and reach agreements with clients.
4. Cultivate and nurture relationships with clients and suppliers.
5. Collaborate with the Procurement Manager in procuring materials and subcontracting.
6. Support the Estimating department and contribute to estimating preparation, when required.
7. Be available for work both at the head office and various site locations as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
8. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying or a solid foundation in carpentry and joinery.
9. Exceptional commercial and financial knowledge with budgetary expertise.
10. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
11. A keen attention to detail.
