Pastoral Support Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Support Assistant to join our team at a client secondary school.
As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing social, emotional, and spiritual support to our students to ensure their overall well-being and success. Your responsibilities will include offering guidance and advice to students, assisting in the implementation of pastoral care programs, liaising with external stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.
The school is situated in the heart of Wythenshawe and is accessible by multiple public transport options. There is also a large onsite car park for members of staff with a vehicle. The successful candidate will start from Monday 6th January, and work full-time at the school until the end of the school year (July 2025).
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the pastoral team in delivering pastoral care services
• Assist in organizing and leading pastoral care initiatives and activities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student development
• Maintain detailed records of student interactions and progress
• Uphold a safe and nurturing environment for students
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a similar pastoral or support role is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
• Commitment to promoting the well-being of students
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
