We are recruiting a Part Qualified or Finalist Assistant Finance Business Partner, with 1 – 2 years’ office experience, who will work alongside our Senior Finance Business Partner.
As Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will partner with one of our Central Support functions at Support Office, linking in with the Vet Group to build plans to support the business.

Location: We welcome applications from those looking for hybrid working, based 2 -3 days in our Handforth (Cheshire) Office.
Key Responsibilities – what you’ll be doing
* Partnering one of our Central support functions at the support office, linking in with the Vet Group to build plans to support the business.
* Periodic rolling reforecast. This involves liaising with directors/departments Heads to produce forecasts on key costs lines.
* Weekly and periodic reporting, in addition to ad hoc reporting and providing support to department Heads as required (including actual vs. budget, reforecast and prior year, with variance analysis and commentary).
* Involved in the end-to-end period-end process, you will be responsible for several cost lines, which will involve posting journals and calculating accruals & prepayments.
* Input into the delivery of the periodic results to the Retail Finance Director.
* Input into the preparation of the period end board pack, detailing financial performance and KPI’s for the group (distributed to both Executive and Non-executive Directors).
* Maintain balance sheet control through preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
* To provide accurate, relevant, and timely management information to department heads and senior management to monitor the business performance and assist the decision-making process to enable its successful future development.
* Required to liaise with our 3rd Party Auditors twice a year, providing them with required information to carry out the audits.
About You – What you’ll bring to the role
* You will be a part qualified Accountant with minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within a fast-paced finance background.
* You must be highly analytical with a high attention to detail.
* Experience of strong financial control and balance sheet management.
* Strong Excel Skills.
* Strong communication skills are essential to support and manage multiple stakeholders.
* Experience of strong financial control and balance sheet management.
* You will have the flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing pressurised commercial environment.
* You will be a strong team player with the ability to work with other teams to build strong collaborative relationships.
