Elevations Technical Engineering division are working with a market leading manufacturing business based in Sheffield who are looking to appoint a Production Engineer with the perfect blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving to join their growing division.
You will play a pivotal role in optimising our manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvements, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation throughout our production operations. Having the opportunity to design, implement, and optimise production processes to meet quality and efficiency targets.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
of issues.
- Review and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Assist the design engineers with design and manufacture of new products as well as special one-off equipment.
- Review areas of the business that could benefit from the implementation of continuous improvement, core lean tools and more
- Work as part of a close nit, cross functional team that will continue to develop full turn key solutions
- Support the creation of reports to support any potential investment in new machinery and equipment
whilst staying current with industry trends and best practices in manufacturing technology and process optimisation.
Production Engineer Experience:
- You will have proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a production
engineering role and an excellent understanding of design and engineering manufacturing
processes.
- You will either have an engineering qualification or you may be qualified through experience.
- Experience in pneumatics and electric circuits are desirable but not essential.
- You will be computer literate with knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Microsoft
packages.
- You’ll have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities and have the ability to plan and
prioritise tasks.
- You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
collaborate effectively.
- You will thrive in a fast-paced, environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
