WHAT TO EXPECT
Be at the forefront of innovation, owning the end-to-end customer experience for interior and exterior lighting at JLR. You will ensure the lighting products enhance the customer experience through the deployment of an effective strategy to satisfy the design, development, validation, and balance of requirements to meet the aspiration of the JLR vision for its vehicles.
Leading a team of specialist engineers, you will work together in setting and gaining alignment with the business the Lighting Attribute Strategy to ensure we remain amongst leaders for lighting technology.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Ensure completion of competitor and comparator Attribute benchmarking, including physical/virtual testing, measurement, and visual assessments on all architectures and programmes.
2. Support the attribute and feature owners to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved.
3. Assess test and development activities to ensure Attribute sign-off and efficient delivery.
4. Track total Attribute AIMS/Issues/Impediment status and ensure all open issues are being progressed.
5. Identify process improvements and methods development required for Attribute development.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
1. Previous experience of problem-solving tools e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving.
2. Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in Manufacturing.
3. Knowledge of lighting systems or other complex commodities and impact on the customer experience.
