About the role
The product support team at OCR plan and co-ordinate the support for our assessment products. It's our job to ensure that our customers have the support they need, when they need it. We are a tight-knit and forward-thinking team, who enjoy working collaboratively and sharing ideas.
As Product Manager, you'll be an integral part of the team. You will work with colleagues across the organisation to identify the best way to meet our customer needs and will have responsibility for scoping, developing, and briefing new kinds of commercially viable product support. Our support proposition encompasses many subjects, and you will have the opportunity to work on products supporting English, STEM, social sciences, and humanities. Experience in product management techniques, digital resource creation and/or teaching will be an asset in helping to determine how we can meet the needs of teachers delivering our qualifications.
You'll ensure that our decision-making is driven by customer insight. Through ongoing market research you'll maintain a strong awareness of key trends and developing needs, both across broad subject areas and more focused pieces of research. You'll be involved in leading market testing of new types of support to ensure they deliver what our customers need.

About you
To be successful you will demonstrate:
1. Experience of product development or product management of resources for education (possibly in a digital publishing or teaching context)
2. Strong market research, analysis, and strategic thinking skills, with a demonstrable track record in investigating and understanding customer needs
3. Strong organisational skills to plan and manage a range of complex tasks, functions and schedules, within budget requirements
4. The ability to build and develop strong working relationships with stakeholders of all levels of seniority
5. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and influencing skills
6. The capacity to balance, prioritise, and manage a varied and demanding workload, working independently and as part of a team
