Position Summary
The Zoetis Lincoln Manufacturing Site is actively seeking a dedicated Material Evaluation Coordinator to play a pivotal role in supporting the dynamic processes related to both new and changes in materials and suppliers. The position will be a key member of the team, collaborating closely with Procurement Category Leaders for raw materials, packaging, and single use technology to streamline and manage change processes effectively to ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., FDA).
Hours: 1st shift.
Position Responsibilities
Material Evaluation Committee (MEC) Leadership
1. Spearhead four Material Evaluation Committee meetings, driving cross-functional collaboration among team members.
2. Ensure meetings are well-organized, productive, and aligned with the objectives of the committee.
3. Responsible for agenda setting, ensuring that key topics are addressed, and discussions are focused based off project timelines.
4. Ensure active participation from all committee members, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages valuable contributions from diverse perspectives.
5. Manage actions resulting from MEC meetings, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of tasks and escalation where necessary.
Supplier & Material Change Control
6. Ownership of the comprehensive change control process, overseeing both new and changes in materials and suppliers utilized by the Lincoln site.
7. Utilize the Trackwise system (ETS) to create and manage change control records efficiently.
8. Ensure tracking and documentation, guaranteeing compliance with project timelines.
9. Ensure alignment with the defined scope by the Material Evaluation Committee (MEC).
10. Initiate and coordinate the request for qualification samples from suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
11. Work closely with action owners across various functional areas to facilitate effective change control implementation.
12. Foster collaboration and communication to ensure a cohesive approach to change management.
13. Works with supplier base and internal colleagues to resolve issues related to the change control evaluation and approval process.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
15. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related business/technical field. 1-3 years’ experience in supporting a professional procurement department will be considered in lieu of degree; or direct experience in manufacturing, packaging, or quality operations in a GMP environment.

19. Skilled in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook), Excel expertise a plus
20. Experience in ERP or Purchase to Pay system, SAP and Ariba knowledge a plus.
21. Ability to work under pressure. Shows attention to detail. Excellent Data Entry skills.
22. Knowledge of Zoetis Manufacturing and Packaging Operations a plus
23. Experience with Change Control systems and processes a plus

Physical Position Requirements
32. Position is mostly office work, with filing and other light activities as necessary.
33. This position requires sitting, standing, and walking with occasional work outside of normal work schedule to meet critical deadlines.
34. Must wear appropriate gowning and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in manufacturing/production areas.
35. The work conditions for the position are greater than 50% stationary with periodic standing and walking throughout the workday.
