Within its People & Communications teams, KONE is currently looking for HR Adviser who is passionate about people and would like to contribute to creating an exceptional working environment. In this role you will work closely with HR Business Partners and Employee Relations Specialists to provide support with employee engagement and retention, with employee relations cases, employee performance, data analytics and general administration.
The job is based in Surrey (Chertsey), and reports to our People Operations Manager.
This is a fixed-term contract until end 2024 with the possibility to become permanent.
Key accountabilities:
1. Help respond to HR queries throughout the business.
2. Advise and coach line managers on employee relations processes and legislation
3. Preparation for and participation in investigations, disciplinary, capability, grievance meetings, and appeals; ensuring accurate recordings of cases including minutes and letters.
4. Management of short-term sickness absence cases, with involvement in meetings
5. Provide end-to-end support on family processes e.g. maternity, paternity leave
6. Provide advice and support for probationary processes and reviews
7. Support offboarding of employees, conduct exit interviews and analyse feedback to help improve the employee experience and retention
8. Monitor, review and update HR policies ensuring they are in line with current legislation
9. Monitor, review and update the HR intranet pages, ensuring their effectiveness
10. Generate HR reports and analytics as required to help inform decision making
11. Support with implementing and delivering HR initiatives, projects and programmes related to our people strategy.
12. Work closely with the HR Business Partners, Employee Relations specialists and our People Operations team, providing support as necessary
13. Build collaborative relationships with HR centres of expertise, providing support as necessary
We would like to speak to candidates who have:
14. 1-2 years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations
15. CIPD completed or ongoing
16. Ability to build relationships and communicate positively at all levels of the organisation
17. Strong attention to detail
18. Proactive and positive ‘can do’ approach
19. Good IT skills
20. Flexibility for occasional travel to London and Yorkshire
