The purpose of this role is to enable consistent deployment of the Submarines risk management process and to provide senior management with a comprehensive and meaningful view of risk and risk management across the Delivery Business Unit (DBU). To beneficially influence the management of risk through effective facilitation and mentoring.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing:
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following:
1. You will ensure that the requirements of the business are met, and risk management plans align with Group, Sector, Business and Customer requirements, processes, tool sets and industry best practice.
2. You will manage the cycle of risk reviews, eliciting, interpreting and combining risk information from across the relevant stakeholders to identify threats and opportunities to inform business decision making.
3. You will manage the Risk Registers, in the company system of record or other suitable tool, ensuring appropriate coverage for all stakeholders and dependencies.
4. You will improve the levels risk management maturity within the business through active engagement with all stakeholders
5. You will act as a mentor for other risk practitioners within the business

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
6. Experience of using risk management software (Advantageous)
7. Experience in risk (or other forms of) facilitation and identification techniques
8. Experience in delivery of process and tool training is advantageous
9. Awareness or experience of Enterprise or Portfolio risk management
10. Good communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to build relationships with stakeholders and senior management

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
