We have an exciting opportunity for a People Advisor to join the People Team. The successful candidate will contribute to the operational delivery of the People plan that supports and underpins our organisational vision, culture, and strategy. They will help to deliver a professional and effective people advisory service to managers and colleagues, ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:

Coach and develop managers and leaders across a wide range of integrated people practices aligned to our values and culture.
*
Give pragmatic people advice, and support managers with all casework, including absence, capability, investigations, disciplinary and grievance, promoting early and informal resolution such as mediation wherever possible.
*
Deliver people specific change programmes, managing risk and ensuring that colleagues are supported throughout.
*
Promote delivery of EDI and wellbeing approaches and build associated capability and confidence in managers to ensure these are embedded across policies, procedures and practices to support the creation of culture of inclusion and belonging.
*
Advise leaders and managers on delivery of the organisational performance framework including objective setting, appraisals and regular development conversations.
*
Coach and advise leaders to build people management capability, including the design and delivery of people-focused workshops.

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience (E)

Minimum Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience (E)

Evidence of commitment to Continued Professional Development (CPD) (E)
Experience

Demonstrable HR Advisory experience with an employee relations background (E)

Supporting people change processes (E)
*
Coaching hiring managers on recruitment, selection and onboarding approaches (E)

Designing and delivering learning programmes to enhance manager capability (D)

Identifying and implementing pragmatic EDI approaches and/or wellbeing solutions (D)

Working in a unionised environment (D)

Working in the housing sector (D)

Comprehensive knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice (E)
